Yale Aviation has been a flying club for over 100 years. It's membership consists of both student pilots with few hours and rated pilots with thousands of hours, Yalies and those who have no connection to Yale. What we have in common is a love of aviation, aviation education, and aviation safety. We are a conscientious group who fly our two airplanes in a responsible and conservative fashion. We also have associate members who do not rent our airplanes but still support our mission.
The club holds several events a year, between meetings at Mory's (some with a speaker), Wash & Wax gatherings for cleaning our airplanes, and the occasional Fly-out, where 3 to 4 members fly to locations for lunch or an overnight adventure. We have sponsored school groups at the airport, and pride ourselves in being good neighbors to the surrounding community.
